KVS envisions itself a world class organization in school education committed to continually empowering teachers to actualize inside out synergy in students and enable them to fulfill futuristic societal, national and global needs and aspirations.

MISSION OF KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA

1. To cater to the educational needs of children of transferable Central Government including Defence and Para-military personnel by providing a common programme of education ;

2. To pursue excellence and set the pace in the field of school education;

3. To initiate and promote experimentation and innovations in education in collaboration with other bodies like the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) etc. and

4. To develop the spirit of national integration and create a sense of "Indianness" among children.

I feel proud to say that I am a part of a prestigious chain of Vidyalaya, which are 960 in number spread all over the country and abroad. Kendriya Vidyalaya runs by an Antonymous body known as Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan under the Ministry of HRD Govt of India. In brand equity survey conducted in 2005. Kendriya Vidyalaya was ranked No.1 among all Secondary Educational servers in India.

This Vidyalaya is located in Jalandhar Cantt in the Punjab and accommodates classes from I to XII with all the three streams (Science, commerce and Humanities at XII stage having three sections in each class.

As on date 1425 students are on Roll .The majority of the students are defence Personnel’s children, they belong to middle class families where parents are not so educated and a teacher is sole incharge and architecture of the destiny of these children.

The teachers are highly competent, qualified and experienced. This Vidyalaya and the organization programs to keep the teachers abreast with the latest methods of teaching, audio visual aids, computed aided teaching, Syllabus changes and for the result analysis. The teacher being seasoned in this profession has variety of teaching methods, which is accessible to the level of the students and difficulty of the lesson.

This Vidyalaya believes in the overall development of the students and is committed to provide quality education to promote intellectual wisdom, social and cultural energy among its learners. For achieving this, we are providing every opportunity to its learners participate in various acclivities like to promote intellectual abilities, activities like Debate declamation, Speeches, Recitations are organized Cultural activities like those that Dance and Drama are the integral part of school curriculum. Every child gets a chance to come on the stage and gets exposure to speak in morning assembly. Class Magazine competition is another feather in our cap as it gives an opportunity to the child to create something original.

Vidyalaya is running with the difference particularly imbibing moral values so deeply to develop humility compassion and truthfulness. We are trying to craft the destiny of its Learners. For excelling in academic result are analyses five times in a year after each unit test, Half Yearly and Session ending Exam. Children are motivated with prizes of super Distinction (75% in each subject) Distinction (60% in each subject) special awards for 10% increase as compared with the previous core and very special award for repeaters scoring 40% marks in each subject.
